I am a planner by nature. I thrive on checklists, post-it notes, and reminders on my phone. I spent countless minutes analyzing situations, possible scenarios, and contingency plans. My aim in life is to always be prepared.
It’s almost comical how things almost always go off script, and I still wind up having to make on the spot adjustments.
Recently circumstances have forced me to rethink my preferred way of life. I am in a place where I cannot predict or plan what is coming down the pipe. There is nothing I can do really to control the outcome of my situation. My prayer life has skyrocketed.
It is only by getting into the presence of the Lord that I have been able to find peace. It’s only been by relying on His still, small voice that I have been able to stay sane. And despite not having a solid answer to my issue or a sure plan for me moving forward, I have confidence because I know the God I serve. He’s looking out for me. He has plans for me. He’s not going to let me fail.
And that has been enough.
As much as you may think you have control over your life, ultimately, God is governs your life. His plans will always prevail. His ways will always win out over your own.
But it’s a good thing to have the Lord of All influencing your steps. He knows every single minute thing that is going on right now, He knows what’s going to happen next, and He’s the only One who knows how it’s all going to come to a close.
And on top of all that, He loves you more than you can ever imagine. He created you expressly for His good pleasure. There is no reason why He would ever let you fall or fail. He’s going to make sure that you get to your purposed place in Him.
